Technology should help your round without taking over somebody else’s.

Ask before playing music

Check the course policy and your group’s preference. Keep volume low enough that nearby groups do not have to share it. Turn it down or off when asked.

Be present

Silence notifications before the round. If an urgent call is necessary, step away safely and keep it brief. Do not scroll when you should be preparing to play.

Film with permission

Ask before recording another player or sharing their image, especially a child. Set up quickly without entering a hitting area or delaying the group behind. Longer swing analysis belongs on the practice ground.

Know competition limits

Devices, slope-adjusted yardages, and certain audio uses can be restricted. Check the event’s Local Rules. Do not assume a casual-round habit is allowed in competition.
