A golf setup should help you move. It should not feel like a rigid pose.

Find an athletic starting point

For a mid-iron, try a comfortable stance around shoulder width, softly bent knees, and a gentle hinge from the hips. Let your arms hang rather than reaching hard for the ball.

Stay balanced

Feel steady through your feet, without sitting far back or tipping onto your toes. Make a small turn and check whether you can return without stepping. Your body and club length affect what the setup looks like.

Use an easy rehearsal

Without a club, stand tall and hinge slightly at the hips while keeping the back comfortably long. Let the arms hang. If a position hurts or feels strained, stop and adjust with appropriate help.
